The Figgjo Oslo cup series, developed by designer Kristin Hærnes Ihlen in collaboration with Tim Wendelboe, is engineered to enhance the coffee drinking experience through intentional form and function.
Each cup is designed to influence both aroma perception and flavour delivery. The geometry optimises aroma capture while directing the flow of liquid across specific areas of the palate, allowing users to emphasise key attributes such as sweetness, acidity, or balance depending on the cup selected.
Recognised for its innovation, the Figgjo Oslo series was awarded the Red Dot Design Award in 2016.
"APEN" (OPEN)
A balanced, versatile form that enhances overall aroma expression and suits coffees with medium acidity.
"SPLITT" (SPLIT)
Designed to accentuate aromatics and bright acidity, ideal for fruity and floral profiles.
"TULIPAN" (TULIP)
Promotes sweetness and body, making it well-suited for low-acidity, chocolatey or earthy coffees.
